Math for 1-2 graders

Emily loves math! Probably more then anything else at school  and we are working on it with her all the time, even during her summer break. There are a lot of different work books you can get, different printable pages etc. But we have our 3 favorites and I will talk a little bit about them.

Math Bingo

Very simple game, you can even play with a 4 year old. Emily is helping Ashley, so they both benefit from it. All you need is dice (2 pc) and this printed sheet. There are rules already on it, so I won't explain again.
For Ashley it was like a counting game and then finding the right number with out thinking about matching 4 later. For Emily it was more strategic game, which number she should pick now and benefit from it later.

We usually don't finish our game on just 1 match. We keep going, who can get the most 4 in a row in 10 mins or something like that.

Next book is fun coloring. Emily likes to color and loves math, this is a perfect way to combine both. We started it at the begging of her 1st grade and now she almost done with it. It's not hard and pretty good practice.

And there is also Spectrum book. This is our second book, we finished 1st grade last summer, when she was just going into 1st grade. This summer we were pretty busy and didn't have time to do much of this book, but working on it now.
I like all Spectrum books, not just math. But I always try to go one grade up, because they seems to easy.
