Disney's Port Orleans Riverside

I will start writing some of the reviews for recently visited places.
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside
We stayed at this hotel at the end of May 2015 for 6 days. We were a family of 6, my mom went with us. So 3 adults and 3 kids, one of them is infant.
Hotel is pretty large, so think of it when you book it. From some buildings it can be 10 minutes walk to the main building. Grounds looks gorgeous and even if you do have to walk, there is always something to look at.
There are 4 Disney transportation stops around the hotel. One by the main building and the other 3 are all the way around. No matter what building you are at, you will be close to one of the stops.

Our building was #36 in the Alligator Bayou Lodges area. This area is a collection of small villas which looks like they can be found in the rural bayou areas of Southern Louisiana.
There is one huge minus in this lodges - there is no elevators! If you have a stroller + car seat and a baby in it, then it just adds some more times to get in and out. Stairs are too small to carry everything at once. You have to get a car seat out, fold the stroller, walk up/down the stairs, unfold the stroller and put car seat in it.
The room was good. A little tight for 6 people, but we didn't spend much time there and it was ok with us.
2 double beds and one "magic bed", this is how my kids called it. Plus a baby crib. Double sinks, fridge, coffee maker. Table+2 chairs. And when "magic bed" is not in use you can use it as a bench.

There are different swimming pools in each area of the resort plus one in the middle. The mail pool with games and water slide.

There are also few bars, but we never visited one. Area around the main pool is great. A lot of shade and we never had a problem finding seats by the pool.

Some more pictures of the grounds.

Reception.

From inside the store.

There is a boat transportation to Downtown Disney and other resorts.

Also there is another huge section of this hotel with different buildings. We only walked there, but haven't been inside. Looking online it didn't even give us an option at staying there. All rooms probably just regular with 2 beds where you can't fit 6 people. But the actual buildings are gorgeous!

Food court is located in the main building, but I do not have any pictures from there. Nice place, was never crowded. Food is pretty good. Salads are huge!

Overall we liked this resort. Well worth the price. Our option for this trip was ether 2 standard rooms in Disney's value resort Pop Century ( which we like too, stayed there 4 times before) or one room here, in Disney's moderate resort.  Yes we could of used another bathroom, but other then that is was great.
Things I wish we knew before:
- side railings for big beds. We brought our own for Ashley so she won't fall off big bed and we didn't need too. Baby cribs also provided.
- there is no elevators. I would request a room on the first floor next time.
- games with kids at the pool. We only discovered them on our last day.
- bring a drink carrier. We had 5 cups to carry every time and the carrier would be helpful.
After staying at Moderate Resort we don't want to go back to Value again.

Thank you Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside for a great stay!

    1. Отель очень классный. Во Флориде не так легко найти полностью зеленый отель
