I wouldn't call Charleston a kids friendly, but we still had fun. We liked walking around this old city and just looking at the buildings.
City was found in 1670. Cobblestone streets, horse-drawn carriages, beautiful buildings pre-Civil war era.
We started our walk at the Waterfront park. We parked near there and walked everywhere from there. There was no need to drive and re-park. Everything is close by. It took as maybe 2 hours to walk through entire downtown area.

Nice pier area with the swings on it. You can also take a water taxi from here to the other side.
The Old Exchange and Provost dungeon
From here to the most known and photographed street of this city - Rainbow Row.
Rainbow row is the name of a series of colorful historic houses in Charleston. It represents the longest cluster of Georgian row houses in US.
