Clearwater Beach, Fl - day 1

We are back home now! One week went way faster then I expected, but then time always fly on vacations.
We rented 2 bedroom condo with a friend. I had my mom and 3 kids and she had her 3 kids. We stayed about 20 mins south of Clearwater beach - on the Treasure Island. Later I will write a little more detailed review of the island and the area together. Condo complex was - The Palms, will post more about it too. Right now about our first day.
Drive from Atlanta to Treasure Island is 7 hours according to google maps, but with 3 kids you can easily add 2 more hours. Even we only stopped 3 times, it still took additional 2.5 hours. Jeremy is still nursing often so it was hard to plan our days.
That day we left home early. Woke up at 4 and left at 5 am. We prefer to leave around that time or even earlier for any road trips. Yes it is harder on the parents, but much easier with the kids. All 3 of mine slept all the way till Florida boarder, which was 4 hours away. We stopped at the Welcome center, used bathrooms, walked around, I fed Jeremy and we had a small picnic breakfast. I packed everything with us.

In the car I let them play on the tablets because Jeremy was getting sleepy and I didn't want any noise in the car. Our next stop was 2 hours later, a little bit past Florida Turnpike entrance to get gas and feed my baby. I guess he was hot and not really hungry, but thirsty. He does not take any bottles, so every time he needed something we had to stop. Our last stop was just few minutes away from the place we booked. Getting closer to Tampa it started raining terribly. You couldn't see anything in front of you. People turned on their emergency flashers on and we drove for about 45 minutes doing not more then 10-15 mph. But by almost 3 pm we finally made it to our destination. But even then we couldn't get in. Condo had a lock on it and it will only allow you to unlock it after 4 pm. So for this one hour we sat on the parking lot. Kids couldn't wait to get in already. At 4 we finally made it in our condo. I was carrying all the stuff in and my mom sat with the kids.
After a little bit on unpacking and resting we decided to go explore the beach. Rain has stopped by then and we left.
Beach area is beautiful! Very large, pretty empty and clean beach 3 minutes away from our condo. All we had to do is to cross the street.
This is our group with out the little ones.

Jeremy had his first beach trip and I am pretty sure he liked it! :)

The Weather wasn't too go that day. Very dark stormy clouds were getting closer and closer.

We didn't make it back dry :) Rain started pouring down half way to our complex so we run into the Publix right by the beach, got some food and waited for the rain to stop. It didn't stop, but at least slowed down and we were able to run to our place. Everyone was wet, cold, but happy!
