Charleston, SC

We fell in love with this city. One weekend was over way to fast, I can easily spend a full week there.
I wouldn't call Charleston a kids friendly, but we still had fun. We liked walking around this old city and just looking at the buildings.
City was found in 1670. Cobblestone streets, horse-drawn carriages, beautiful buildings pre-Civil war era.
We started our walk at the Waterfront park. We parked near there and walked everywhere from there. There was no need to drive and re-park. Everything is close by. It took as maybe 2 hours to walk through entire downtown area.

Jeremy's doctor appointment

Last week we finally made it to our pediatrician for 9 months old visit.
Weight - 16 lb - 7 kg 260 g
Height - 26 1/2 inch - 67.3 cm
He received first half of his flu shot, now need to come back in 4 weeks for second half.
Everything was good except for the low iron. So now he is on additional vitamins and hoping it will go up.
Started looking for different car seat, big boy kind :) Got down to 2, need to pick one and get it until the end of September because I have 25% off coupon.

My loves

I just can't believe how big my baby is on this pictures. He looks more like a small toddler and not just a baby and especially not a preemie... Growing up way to fast

Charleston, SC - hotel and drive

Last weekend of August we decided to spend in Charleston, SC. It was also our anniversary weekend. Charleston is only a little over 4 hours drive from us, which was a plus. We left early in the morning, stopped only once to eat breakfast and feed Jeremy. But next time we probably will eat at home and then just drive, would be much easier.

Crayon covered seashells

Today we tried a new project and it was fun! First time we had some complications along the way, but got better at the end.

Focus week 1 - Science

Starting this year I decided to do even more work with Emily at home. Well, not just Emily, Ashley too, but mostly Emily. I have a book started already where I am planing different topics for different weeks. We will focus on 1-2 big things each week, sometimes maybe even for 2 weeks. As of right now its all going well, we did Science first week and now doing Math. But I will cover Science a little more.
Science week we split into 2 parts

  1. Matter - this one she started at school and we continued at home.
  2. Stars and planets - we did camping on our backyard and it was perfect time to get out telescope out and learn some more about planets and stars.
