May trip to Universal - day 3

Let the fun begin!!!
After an early breakfast and check out we drove to our Universal Orlando hotel - Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort! It is a Value resort, but offers great family suits and very affordable. Short 3-5 minutes shuttle ride and you are at the park!
Cabana Bay is located right nest to Volcano Bay, brand new water park which just opened this May.

We checked in pretty fast. Got our room keys, dining plan cards and tickets, re-parked our car and decided to go straight to the parks, but took the scenic route. There is a bridge which connects Cabana Bay with another resort - Loews Sapphire Falls Resort. They offer free boat ride to the City Walk, where both Universal's parks are located. We knew Jeremy would love it! Walk wasn't bad, about 10 minutes, but mostly going up hill, which kills you in Florida's heat.
I really like this resort, very pretty!

Sadly, Jeremy didn't make it to the boat and fell asleep. It was so easy taking this boat, you don't need to fold your stroller and get sleeping kids out, like you do on the bus. At least girls liked this ride!

For our first day we decided to go to Universal Studious. Scanning tickets was a breeze and we were inside. Kids were jumping up and down and couldn't wait to go on some rides!!!
We did a lot of rides, but I didn't take many pictures.
Shrek 4D. Fun 4D movie/show. Kids liked it, but didn't want to come back and do it again.

Race Through New York starring Jimmy Fallon. 3D motion simulator ride. This one was a lot of fun and we did it many times after that. The wait is awesome. You don't need to stand in long line, but instead you are inside, exploring, playing games, resting or charging your phone.

We are waiting for Jeff and Emily while they went to ride Revenge of the Mummy. Ashley is not big enough and I didn't want to go. So we grabbed some pop corn and people watching. This pop corn bucket is a great deal! You get to re-fill it for a little over a dollar.

Ashley's favorite! Hello Kitty! Girls were in heavens!

Looking at stars on Hollywood boulevard

I think he is too hot and wants ice cream!

Simpson's family RV is ready for a trip

Play time with characters and dance party

There are many playgrounds and play areas for kids to play at. Jeremy and my girls had a blast!

Simpsons area

Kang & Kodo's Twirl 'n' Hurl

And now the area we all been waiting for! The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Diagon Alley!

Kreacher is saying hello

The Knight bus

Entering Diagon Alley. This view never gets old! Weasley's Wizard Wheezes is on our right and Gringotts bank at the end of the street with the dragon on top. This dragon is breathing fire!

Inside the Leaky Cauldron

Enjoying Butterbear

We are off to ride Escape from Gringotts! Girls favorite ride. They did it many many many times during this trip.

Is it amazing!!!

Almost every ride here have Child swap. You can go through the line with your full family, but at the end there is a room where non-riders can seat and wait or parents can swap.
After the ride we went to Olivanders! Emily had to have a wand!

Now off to do magic!!!

Knockturn alley

Heading to the platform 9 3/4 at the Kings Cross station  and riding Hogwarts Express to Hogsmeade

Hogsmeade!

For dinner we went to Vivo Italian restaurant in City walk. Food was good, but kids were very tired.

Back at the hotel we still had to go get our room,  unpack and go to sleep. Bed time was around 1am
